Since 1994, the Laboratory for Chemical Technology integrates chemical science and engineering in its research. LCT has a strong expertise which covers everything from materials synthesis, through chemical analysis and characterization in both nano and bulk functional materials
Among LCT’s mission: introducing guidelines for new functional materials,developing innovative chemical technologies for the removal of pollutants in different water matrices, developing innovative molecularly imprinted polymers for biomedical applications, providing the means for a transition from fossil to renewable feedstocks.
- Synthesis and characterization of organic, organometallic compounds and macromolecules (porphyrins, phthalocyanines and fullerenes) to be used as active layers for chemical sensors and biosensors.
